FEES
Course fees quoted in this brochure comprise of the tuition fee, and certificate and/or resource fees where applicable and as stated. These charges are payable in full at time of enrolment. Certificated courses marked in bold lead to nationally recognised qualifications therefore completion of the course is necessary. Please remember to include certificate fee with payment for these classes. There are no exams attached to arts (A/AS Level excepting). Assessment is by coursework submission only.
Concessions
Fee A No Concessions
Fee B Non - Certificate courses 20% reduction for students over 60 on 1 st September 2007
Fee C Free certificated courses and 75% reduction on non-certificated courses for:
those students aged 16 and under 19 (when course commences),
those students receiving Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support, Working Families Tax Credit (subject to threshold), Housing/Council tax benefit.
Proof of entitlement to all concessions must be provided at time of booking. Failure to do this will not guarantee you a place on the course.

If you receive a benefit under “Fee C” you may be able to claim support for certificate fees or childcare costs in relation to your course. This is a discretionary award from Cumbria County Council. Please ask for an Access Fund application form from the office.
Notes on Outdoor Education Concessions
EDUCATIONAL COURSES
No fees (excepting certificate fees) are charged to students in receipt of benefits as listed above. In addition, for 2007 students below age 25 at start of course who do not have any L3 qualifications will receive concession on course fees.Full commitment to the course is therefore expected and will be discussed at interview stage (see course information from Centre).
RECREATIONAL AND EXPEDITION
No fee reductions are available for courses in this category
INTRODUCTION COURSES
No course fees are charged to students in receipt of benefits as listed opposite. Certificate/equipment charges are payable in full and at the time of booking.
FIRST AID COURSES
No fee reductions are available for courses in this category.

Refunds
Applications for full refunds for courses excluding outdoor education must be received in writing at least 14 days before the start of the course. Correspondence should be addressed to:

For outdoor education courses, application for refunds must be made at least one month before the start of the course. All refunds and transfers incur a £10 admin fee. Refunds at any other time are made in accordance with the refund policy approved by Dallam School governors.
